In Mix Major's Beatmaking Birthday Parties, kids (and in some cases, parents) produce their own songs using music workstations and Launchpad grid controllers.
Each participant creates a song that becomes part of the birthday party album on a physical custom-printed CD. Each participant takes home a copy of the album and receives digital download and streaming links for their music. No music training or music technology experience is required.
11AM-12PM: BEATMAKING CLASS
During the class portion, each participant creates a song on their own digital audio workstation. The creative process is extremely fun and educational. Kids and parents are welcome to participate in the fun!
12PM-1PM: LUNCH "LISTENING PARTY"
After the class, kids have pizza lunch and cake (not included) while listening to each other's songs (on big speakers of course). They can also see the other kids' songs as they play on the big screen, similar to this video.
