OVERVIEW
Mix Major's are available to Northern Virginia elementary, middle, high schools. Schools and can book single or multi-day workshops and semester-length classes.
All classes teach students how modern music is made using digital music technology. ​​

Music Tech Lab (Grades 4-12)
In this project-based class, students work individually or in small groups to create their own songs, hands-on with the DAW (digital audio workstation) software. Kids learn fundamentals of music production by creating their own music projects, including:

Basic Sound Design
Mix Major can provide laptops and keyboard and beat controllers. We can also help schools get DAW software installed in their existing school computer lab.
School teachers and students receive audio files of the songs created in class.
Music Tech Lab classes use a combination of group instruction and collaboration, and individual video-based learning and skills practice. This allows students to learn at their own pace while still getting personal attention.
